The knowledge of Sacred Ama Songlines was gifted to me by the Ancestors. Four years ago, Meb Ama, the Creator Being who holds this medicine, came striding into my awareness during a meditation. Since then, I have been working with her and Dugong, exploring how the Sacred Ama Songlines are reflections of the Earth and how they interact with the inner landscapes of women.
These Songlines are not abstract concepts; they form ecosystems within the body. Each woman carries within her the power of these ancestral pathways, and when we are connected to them, we access deep knowledge, healing, and wisdom passed down through the lineage of all women. The major stages of a woman’s journey—menstruation, birth, lactation, and menopause—each form a primary Songline, echoing the cycles of Earth and the cosmos. Like rivers and mountains in the Land, the body has its own sacred terrains. The myometrium, ovaries, cervix, and the layers of the womb each hold memory, strength, and life, just as the Land holds the songs and stories of the Ancestors.
The Sacred Ama Songlines are not separate from the Earth’s Songlines; they are part of the same life force that moves through all things, connecting each woman to her body, her lineage, and the universe.
